360 Achievement Scholarship helps young women pursue higher education through financial support, mentorship and encouragement.
After a focused discovery conversation about the journal’s purpose, imagery and desired tone, Dreamcolor Creative Studio developed Becoming Her from the ground up for college-bound young women preparing for a major life transition.
The finished publication combines reflection, affirmations and practical encouragement around confidence, identity, boundaries, emotional wellness, finances, personal growth and self-worth.
Designed for scholarship recipients, it also makes a meaningful gift for parents, mentors, educators, and youth organizations.
The cover pairs contemporary illustration with warm, aspirational styling for college-bound young women.

The initial idea needed to become a complete publication that felt current, uplifting and genuinely relevant to young women entering college and adulthood.
The journal had to address meaningful topics without feeling clinical, overly instructional or preachy. Its voice and imagery needed to feel culturally aware and approachable while balancing emotional reflection with practical wisdom.
DCC-Studio translated a focused client conversation into the journal’s overall concept, creative direction, content framework and visual approach. Concepts were shared and refined before the complete publication was developed.
Building from the client’s initial vision and priorities, DCC-Studio developed the journal’s content and structure, created the guided prompts and affirmations, shaped the visual and illustration direction and designed the cover and interior.
DCC-Studio completed the interior layout and formatting and prepared the final print-ready publication files. The client established and now manages its own online publishing account, giving the organization direct control over ordering and future use.
Becoming Her gave 360 Achievement Scholarship a complete guided journal created specifically for the young women it serves.
Chapters such as Protect Your Coins, Do You, Boo, and Main Character Energy combine practical life guidance with reflection on identity, boundaries, emotional wellness, relationships, finances and self-worth.
The organization ordered copies of the finished journal and presented them to young women during its scholarship award celebration. With ownership of its publishing account and print-ready files, the client can continue ordering the journal independently.
