Concept and Content Development
Publication concepts and content structured around the WOW curriculum, its values and the way the materials are used with students in grades 6–12.
Educational materials are most effective when young women can genuinely see themselves reflected in the experience.
A six-year publishing partnership with Working on Womanhood since 2020
Working on Womanhood (WOW) is a school-based program for girls in grades 6–12 centered on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, healthy relationships, leadership and visionary goal-setting.
Over a six-year partnership with the program, Dreamcolor Creative Studio has developed more than 25 workbooks, journals, coloring books and activity books, guiding each title from concept through print-ready files.
As WOW expanded beyond Chicago to serve young women in Boston and Kansas City, the partnership also created a simpler way to make the growing collection available across locations.

Materials for WOW needed to reflect the girls using them, support the program’s curriculum and values, and work well in real classroom settings.
As the program expanded into multiple cities, distribution became part of the creative challenge. Counselors needed an easy way to review and select materials for the students they serve without requiring the central team to coordinate every individual order and shipment.

Covers, interior artwork and page layouts for workbooks, journals, coloring books and activity books, keeping the growing collection visually consistent and student-centered.
DCC-Studio prepares and manages the collection for publication through Amazon, giving counselors across program locations a simple way to order the materials that best fit their students. Annual catalogs organize available titles and introduce new releases for yearly selection.
The partnership has grown into a coordinated collection of more than 25 publications serving WOW counselors and students across multiple cities.
With DCC-Studio managing publication preparation and the Amazon ordering system, counselors can select materials for their own student communities while the program team remains focused on student needs and collaboration. The model makes a custom, culturally responsive collection easier to maintain, expand and distribute as the program grows.

DCC-Studio helps multi-site youth programs turn custom educational materials into coordinated publication systems that can grow with their work. Tell us about your organization, project or communications goals. We’ll follow up with thoughtful next steps.
